Swiss Caps concentrates on the development of new products, concepts and technologies.
For the extension of your product portfolio, we design and develop specific, innovative pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements and medicinal products.
Swiss Caps has a wealth of experience in the development and manufacture of herbal medicines. We have an extensive portfolio of herbal product licences for the German market, many of which may be suitable for submission in other countries.
We are able to put established active pharmaceutical substances into new dosage forms. New, innovative Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) already require common steps in their galenical and clinical development in early stages, in order to achieve optimal bio-availability and stability. The development of new shell materials and technologies in combination with innovative dosage forms will open new and broader markets.
Our specialists have extensive knowledge in the field of patent matters and can effectively support you with the acquisition of your own IP (Intellectual Property) or the examination of existing patents from project start-up to market launch.
Technologies
We focus on technological innovation within the production of pharmaceutical oral dosage forms. Regarding our core competencies (soft capsules) we not only develop innovative manufacturing technologies and new shell materials, but also concentrate on formulations of filling materials, for example for the improvement of the bio-availability of heavy water-soluble and lipophilic medicinal products (Drug Delivery Systems). Drug Delivery Systems (synonym: specific and controlled pharmacotherapy) are formulations or dosage forms, whose active substances are controllable when released in the body.
In countries in which Swiss Caps is not represented by our own manufacturing sites, we offer our business partners licensing agreements for our manufacturing technologies and patents.
Product Development
In the field of nutritional supplements and medicinal products, our focus on product innovation enables our customers to enter into new markets, distribution channels and consumer groups.
Within our pharmaceutical department, we are also keen to discuss product development concepts with our clients in the early stages in order to discuss all possibilities. In clinical phase I and II studies in particular, the soft capsule as an alternative dosage form (e.g. to tablets) with a high dispersal profile for customer-internal development, is of very high importance.
Galenical and Analytical Development
We are able to develop customers’ product ideas including product development.
Where required, we provide a registration-conformant dossier of the entire technical documentation. Validation of the manufacturing process, scale-up procedures and cleaning validation can be conducted by Swiss Caps for newly developed medicinal products as well as in consequence of a change of manufacturer.
For product development, our customers can rely on an experienced project management team that is competent in the international environment.
Both our modern, well-equipped pilot plant and our manufacturing equipment for commercial products substantially contribute to an efficient "time to market" - cycle for our international customers.
