Swiss Caps supports a wide range of social projects.  Examples of previous and ongoing projects include the following:

Project: Vitamin Angels 2007

Nutritional Supplements for Children
Vitamin Angels is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing vital nutrition, in the form of supplements, to developing countries, communities and individuals in need. One of the core aims of Vitamin Angels is to fight deficiency symptoms in children due to malnutrition (e.g. blindness due to a lack of vitamin A) and provide children in third-world countries with vital help in the form of nutritional supplements.

In conjunction with one of our chemical suppliers, Swiss Caps has provided Docosahexaen Acid (DHA*) capsules for distribution as a nutritional supplement through Vitamin Angels to children in the third world. The chemical supplier kindly provided the DHA oil free of charge, and Swiss Caps manufactured the capsules at no cost.

Therefore, we were able to make a small contribution to the work of the Vitamin Angels, resulting in better nutrition for children in the third world.

* DHA is a polyunsaturated fatty acid, and belongs to the family of Omega-3-fatty acids. It occurs in fish oils and algae, and has a positive influence on thrombotic diseases.

Project: Support of Organisations for children with special needs

Christmas Presents for Good Causes
Each year, Swiss Caps employees receive numerous Christmas presents from our customers and business partners. Many years ago, it was decided to use these presents to raise money to support children with particular needs – e.g. children’s homes – in the regions where the Swiss Caps sites are located.

Employees are invited to donate any such presents as prizes in a Swiss Caps raffle. All the money raised from the raffle are donated to the chosen organisation.

Project: Swiss Caps Village in India

Assistance in Self-Help
More than 10 years ago, Swiss Caps committed to supporting a special social project. We chose to support the Village Reconstruction Organisation, Switzerland (VRO) with their project “A Village for India”.

We contributed to the development of the southern Indian fishing village Pallepalem on the coast of the Bay of Bengal. This is a small community which urgently needs help and support in the form of donations. Things we take for granted are for some people a luxury; for example, a home, education and food. "Our" village has developed well over the last 10 years, during which time funds for vital equipment (e.g. fishing nets) has been continually donated. We at Swiss Caps are very proud to be involved in such a worthwhile cause and continue to support them.
